Cadillac Mountain is one the best places to visit in Acadia National Park. It has a vast number of characteristics that make it on one of the coolest places in the park. Millions of years ago Cadillac Mountain was formed by tectonic plates. It would be higher than it is today if there were not glaciers on top of it.

At 1530 feet tall Cadillac Mountain is not only the tallest point in the park but it is also the tallest point on the U.S. Atlantic Coast.

It is the first place in the United States to view the sunrise from October 7th through March 6th. It is the most dominant land feature on Mount Desert Island.
